The Return Journey is a sci-fi panfandom game, with a heavy focus on character dynamics and redemption arcs. Characters live aboard the SFS Peregrine, a ship in the Admiralty's Transformative and Penal Reparation Fleet, either as wardens or inmates. Wardens are hired willingly by the Navarch to supervise and rein in inmates' worst impulses, in exchange for a miracle known as a "windfall"; inmates are held either voluntarily or involuntarily, so they can reform and return to their worlds, to make choices that will change the future for the better. On their journey, passengers visit ports, experience strange phenomena, and embark on missions. |
