Movie Time, Part Deux

Summary: Time once more for Movie Night between the bunk buddies. Maybe Alex might be trying to cheer Travis up and make sure he's okay?

Alex had moved back into the dorms--and he'd miss the privacy. But he'd survive, and it wasn't all bad. He finally had his nicer blanket (that he could use as a pillow too if he wanted), and anything else he kept on him pretty much. There was at least one person he wanted to check on, too.

Poking his head up to the bunk above him, Alex checked to see if Travis was there, or if Alex'd need to go hunting.

Travis is indeed in his bunk. He is curled up, midway through a nap, his aviators askew and his t-shirt riding up his back. His pillow is tucked against his chest instead of being under his head, his arm curled around it defensively.

"Five more minutes," he mutters, sleepily.

Somehow Alex is not surprised. And he'll wait, up to 5 more minutes if necessary before speaking again. "Time to wake up, Travis."

Travis lifts his head, and he groans as he does it, like extricating himself from his bunk is some sort of Herculean task. He rights his aviators and sits up –– at least as far up as he can manage in the space.

"Why, what's up?"

"Serious question time." Alex is grinning though. "Richard Donner, or Steven Spielberg."

"You can't pit them against each other, they're basically master and disciple," Travis replies. "But if I had to choose, Donner. Richard Donner's the last of the old-school directors. Spielberg is why all we get is soulless big-budget schlocky summer blockbusters anymore. He can't sit with darkness for ten minutes without loading on cheap sentiment."

"Glad to hear it, you in the mood for Superman or The Goonies?" Alex says with a soft chuckle. "We'll do something from Spielberg another time."

"Haven't seen The Goonies since I was a little kid," he replies, and that's probably true of Superman, too, but it leaves a bad taste in his mouth. Who wants to think about being a kid? "Didn't he do episodes of Twilight Zone or something? Or hell, that Assassins movie –– it's got a young Julianne Moore in it."

She's hot.

"Here I was trying to go for 'light-hearted'..." Alex said, but shrugged. "You pick a movie."
