Tearing the blankets is harder than you'd expect. The foam wefts tight, and starting an edge has meant getting teeth involved, and probably there's something for this in the ship - at least in Command, or in the landing kits, or Viktor would have something -
But that's a lot of work for, like, a joke? Not that this isn't. Just, she's started it by the time she thinks of anything else, and anyway.
Anyway there's a pile of foam bits on the table by the time Jerry (or an onlooker) shows.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if Jerry is in on the joke or not. He radiates a cluelessness that is so on point in its stupidity one must wonder if he's just playing a really dedicated mind game of Stupidity Chicken.
If he is, he's winning.
Jerry approaches the table like a true champion ready for whatever task lay before him, interlocking his fingers and giving them a good crack.
"Hah! I was born ready! The question is, are you ready to witness greatness? Because once you do it totally changes the way you look at life. Nothing will ever be the same!"
It was a chance to both meet the other inmate he'd be sharing Grace with, but also... Alex kind of felt someone should be on hand in case this went badly. Because seriously, eating foam? That was just...stupid. Even for a dare.

"If you needed help with your arts and crafts project, you could've just asked, you know," Lucifer says easily, picking up one of the bigger foam bits and easily ripping it in half. No teeth necessary.
"Now we just need some glue and glitter and we can properly decorate the door to the inmate dorms."
