[ He says that thoughtfully, and glances down at himself. ]
That’s why I wear what I do.

He looks at Lucifer now, curious.]
What are you here to get? Some kinda weirdo hand puppet or something? What could wardens even want from this thing.
[He's convinced himself that wardens have all the creature comforts they could ever want behind all those locked doors.]

Something from home. A memento.

You trust this thing with something like that? Won't it just make it out of foam or whatever?

[ A photo is what it is, whether it's on paper or foam. Lucifer considered other things, but the photo can never be a disappointing facsimile. Or rather, it already is that, no matter what. At least here, he can have it. ]

I guess it'd give ya something better to look at than these bland walls all the time. I just figured wardens probably got everything they wanted, anyway, tickets or not.

[ And he has a metric fuckton of experience in the realm of desire. ]
In fact, I'd say a number of wardens are only likely to get what they want by doing what we came here to do. Something in common with inmates, maybe.

[ At least, people do in his world. Everyone in Hell sends themselves there. He's never damned anyone. ]
And, arguably, there may be wardens here who chose under duress - who see this as their only chance at - something. Life, maybe. So the lines may be blurrier than you think.

The comments about the wardens being here under duress gets a pointed glare though.]
You could all leave at any time you wanted. Right? Just quit. Get sent home. Not get your-- [He really doesn't have any idea about windfalls, or what the other wardens have been offered.] heaps of money or whatever it is they're giving out to do this. The line is pretty fucking clear to me.
[He looks away, glowering at nothing.] We are prisoners. You are not, especially not you in particular.

[ He smiles faintly, and gestures at Theo's new suit. ]
Asking someone's favorite color can be a good place to start.
no subject
I don't care why a warden's taken this job. They're still a warden.

[ Tomorrow. Tomorrow he'll push Theo some more. Tonight, Lucifer wants his photo. ]
