"Apparently it's not foam the way we're used to it. Probably definitely not foam the way you're used to it." Alex's tone is normal, polite actually, as he takes in Penitence and her clothing and style. "New arrival huh?"

"There are different types of foam?" Her voice edges with sarcasm. But that's about as close to impolite as she'll get in front of a man. "Yes, I'm new. Rather obvious, isn't it?"

"There are. There's foam that comes out liquid and expands into cracks, there's solid foam that's used in upholstery, there's floral foam that comes apart if you even just look at it." He has his own edge of sarcasm, but a slight grin as well.

"Very. I'd say welcome, but I'm sure others'll get to that who are better at it. Warden or Inmate?" Head tilting while he studied her for a moment. "I'm Alex."
